FC Barcelona Ready for Inaugural Match at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday

Barça revealed they are set to host at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou on Saturday. They will welcome the Bilbao team in domestic competition two and a half years after they moved out to allow renovations to start.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators are permitted inside based on approved permits. Once fully finished, the stadium’s capacity will reach over 104,000 attendees, increasing from the former 99,000. Barça announced recent additions comprise a renovated tunnel for players plus modern locker rooms.

Preparatory Events

The club conducted a public practice inside the stadium on 7 November. Officials stated they were hoping for permission from Uefa to play their next home Champions League game versus the German side on 9 December at Camp Nou. They have been hosting matches at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
