The children's author David Walliams parted ways with book publisher.
Acclaimed children's author and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, the company has said.
An official for the firm stated: "Following a thorough review, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the move was made after an inquiry regarding claims about inappropriate behaviour directed at women.
The firm declined to specify the motivations for this action, adding: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."
A Prolific Publishing History
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, having sold more than 60 million copies globally in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Some of his titles, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.
He has published more than 40 books in total, including a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.
Television and Literature
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive last fall.
