The young golfer will have numerous well-known cheerleaders as she starts her LPGA debut on Thursday.

The 18-year-old athlete, who is related to a former US president, obtained a special exemption to participate at the Annika competition in the Sunshine State.

Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, possesses several international courses and frequently matches against Kai.

"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we play tight competitions," she stated.

She mentioned that her grandfather, unable to come, advised her: "Just don't get nervous."

"My grandpa practically told me to compete and relax," she continued.

"In my eyes, he's just a regular grandfather. He's not attending for the tournament. He's focused on world affairs, so he's rather occupied."

As an amateur, the golfer has competed in just three tournaments recently and holds ranking 461 in AJGA listings.

However she's able to receive tips from golf legend, who is dating Vanessa.

"He is the top athlete worldwide," the young golfer said.

"Furthermore, he's an even better person. He told me to compete, enjoy myself, adapting to the flow."

She'll challenge several the biggest names in professional golf at this tournament, such as world number two the champion, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.

Tournament organizers stated that her participation brings golf to wider groups, especially among the next generation.
